Pet Shop - Poor Piggies
Oct. 5th, 2011 04:19 pmToday while I was out in town, I popped into 3 different pet stores. Here's how each one was treating their piggies (i would have brought it up to the owners but I was a bit nervous as I don't own piggies yet and just know information from a forum).
NOTE - I am not listing store names, just because i forgot which store had which problems :( sorry about that
Store 1: They have two cages here, they look similar to the zoozone cages (not sure though). In one cage, there were two guinea pigs and in the other they had a small rabbit and what looked like two guinea pigs (they were hard to see as one seemed to be cuddling with the rabbit and the other was under the bedding)
Both cages had the food mixes (similar to the hamster ones) and the rabbit cage had carrots in it as well.
Store 2: This store had bigger cages under their bird cages (not exactly sure how to describe them..), again they had the food mix but had a lot of hay in the cages with 2 guinea pigs in one cage and 3 in the other (the 3 in the second cage were quite skittish when i walked past/near the cage).
One guinea looked like it might have had bald spots but it was really hard to tell as everytime i tried to take a picture, it hid under the hay. I could tell that most of the guineas were smooth haired apart from this one (i wish i could have got a picture :().
White smooth piggie had a spot on its head (maybe of missing fur?)
Store 3: 2 rabbits with younger guinea pig :(
